Building a Vocal Identity
The art of crafting your unique vocal signature in a way that leaves a lasting impression.
- Duration: 40 hours
- Course days: Saturday & Sunday
- Certificate of completion included
About the course:
Train step by step in commercial, documentary and IVR voice-over styles.
Welcome to the complete course in professional voice-over and audio engineering! This is a great opportunity to get four specialized courses combined into one comprehensive program, covering everything you need to master the art of voice-over, build a home studio and understand audio engineering.
The course begins with how to set up a professional home studio: choosing and preparing your recording space, the difference between soundproofing and acoustic treatment and the tools for each, recommended microphones for voice-over, and the rest of the equipment and how to use it properly.
We then move on to the elements of a successful voice-over and how to control them to improve your performance: using your voice authentically, breathing correctly, connecting with the script, choosing the right pace and pitch, and using body language effectively, with hands-on practice across a variety of scripts to discover your strengths and weaknesses.
Finally, we learn audio software through hands-on training in Adobe Audition and Pro Tools: proper recording techniques, cleaning recordings of noise and mouth clicks, adding filters, recording over music, editing, and exporting in the required format, alongside a simulation of the real market and working with clients, directors and sound engineers. The course suits both beginners and professionals.
Interview with Adel Barbaa
"The vocal identity course opened the door for me to work in commercial voice-over. The hands-on practice was the most valuable part."
